Within the disused Chalcroft Distribution Park sidings on the railway between Eastleigh and Hedge End in Hampshire, between the Allington Lane and Burnetts Lane bridges, stand some abandoned 1950s relics. There are five old Stanton 6B 25ft arched and finned father and son columns, all fitted with GEC Z9451 140w SO/H lanterns on the large bracket and top-entry tungsten GLS lanterns, probably GEC, on the small brackets.

Three of the Z9451 lanterns appear to be complete, and still retain their bowls. None of the top-entry GLS lanterns retain their bowls. The columns still had control gear in the bases.

In 2008 the motorway had climbing lanes built between J11 and J12, and was widened to dual four lanes between J3 and J4. The former of the two schemes appears to have been a waste of money.

Photos of the semi-built junction on the M275 at Tipner, Portsmouth. The embankments for the slip roads, subways, motorway bridges and part of the roundabout were built at the same time as the motorway in the mid-1970s. Over 30 years on, and opening of the junction is planned, to serve a Park and Ride for Portsmouth.
